A token, a sign, of my dearest, the pristine beauty - when last did I cry.

Its raining pellets in God's paradise, where no longer buds bloom.

The sky is red and full of gloom, no answer to our plea: when last did I cry.

The desiccated chinar leaves covered with shroud;when the grizzled tree asks why?

This imbroglio shatters me, when last did I cry.

Young dreams buried so soon, leaving behind the souls soaked with tears.

Heart rending it is, how can't it affect thee: when last did I cry.

Her eyes were like stone and her face ice cold. She asks for how long will this continue? Wading through

the bloodied streets, walking by roaring streams, looking in the endless sky,she waits patiently: when last did I cry.

O my brothers, blinded by pellets. Why did you deserve such pain? Love for your country?

They left us with innocent blood, so much pain and dead. But none of us will flee:when last did I cry.

( Shahiqa )

I witness talents being killed and maimed, my heaven seems to be a haunted dream.

The opressor has turned this heaven into hell, yet you ask me: when last did I cry?

My place where the spring blossoms with its pristine myriad white florets, autumn that sets into carmine chinar leaves.

Snowflakes that smoulder the plains, lurched the lad in long cloak to play: unaware is he: when last did I cry.

Little does he knows ,the war monger behind him shall pierce his heart deep with a steel ball.

And the earth beneath him, waits to swallow him to set him free:when last did I cry.

It is time to water the seeds of unity and brotherhood in our community, dry since decades.

Why don't we feel their pain, why can't we stand with them. Will I answer if they ask me, when last did I cry ?

( Syed Burhanuldin Byhaqi )
